All industry participants were able to submit a project for consideration for the Sports Media Innovation Award between March 13 and April 12, 2013.

Nomination of the five best projects by mid-April

A jury including members of SPONSORs’ management team along with the editor-in-chief will select the five best projects by mid-April 2013. The final online voting will then begin at the end of April, 2013 on the SPONSORs Sports Media Summit website.

Announcement and honouring of the award winner at the 2013 SPONSORs Sports Media Summit

The three projects deemed the best in the online voting will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at the SPONSORs Sports Media Summit taking place on June 5, 2013 in the Congress Centrum Koelnmesse. The overall winner will then be announced and honoured in a ceremony on the Main Stage. Moreover, the winning project will also be presented in the post-event review of the conference in the SPONSORs magazine.

A fee of 525 euros (plus VAT) applies for participation in the Innovation Award. Two representatives for each of the top three projects will be invited to attend the SPONSORs Sports Media Summit. Applicants not among the top three projects will subsequently receive a ticket for the 2013 SPONSORs Sports Media Summit to a value 525 euros in exchange.

Please note that projects will only be considered for the award once the participation fee has been paid.
