Kölner Sportstätten The RheinEnergieStadion already does it’s name justice from afar: the four powerful, 72 m high light towers shine into the darkness night after night and proclaim “This is the home of energy, Cologne’s heart beats here!”. The fact that the venue is home to 1. FC Köln can of course immediately be discerned from the colours red and white that are omnipresent in and around the stadium. Yet the beautiful game does not reign supreme at the RheinEnergieStadion: time and time again, the stadium is also the first choice for other major events. Since re-opening in 2004, countless international artists have performed here. There is also plenty going on at the RheinEnergieStadion besides the footballing and musical highlights though. Companies from both the local region and all across Germany use the stunning views over the pitch for their corporate events – lending incentives, workshops and meetings a very special atmosphere. |
